Hey everyone! My name is Ethan Tucker, and I am being sent out on a 9-month mission trip to Jamaica, Italy, Nepal, Thailand, Indonesia, and Australia!

Welcome to my blog! You probably already figured that out, but this is the space where you’ll get to see all the amazing works God is doing during this mission trip. I'll be sharing updates through photos, videos, prayer requests, and whatever else the Lord puts on my heart. This blogging stuff is totally new to me, so bear with me! For this first post, I want to share a bit about my experience funding and prepping for this trip—which kicks off in less than a week!

A Little About My Story

Matthew 28:19-20 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

This mission is deeply personal for me. After struggling with depression, suicidal thoughts, anxiety, and just feeling completely lost and empty, I had a life-changing encounter with the Lord four years ago. He saved my life, and I gave everything to Him! He freed me from the weight of sin and despair, giving me true hope and a purpose. Praise Him! It took me a couple of years to really find my footing again, and I have spent this last year growing so deeply in my relationship with Him and my community. It is incredibly humbling to now step into this new season to serve my Lord.

Funding wasn't a struggle, because God already has a way—He always makes a way! Support-raising has been such an amazing opportunity to share the gospel and make new connections. I’ve built such a strong community here at home, and honestly, it’s hard to leave that behind to start a new chapter. But knowing I have a community fighting for me in the Spirit, lifting me up in prayer, and supporting me however they can has been a massive blessing. I’ll be working alongside local ministries to serve schools and communities through everything from building projects to evangelism. More than anything, I’m eager to see lives transformed by the message of Jesus. God is already moving in huge ways and answering prayers—He even added Jamaica to our route, which wasn't even part of the original plan!

As for the physical prep, it’s been pretty simple, though my overthinking brain definitely tries to make it stressful. I still don't completely know how I'm fitting everything into my backpack, but it seems to be working out so far! Spiritually, I am so ready. I’m ready to pour out and be filled up. I am beyond excited to see how Jesus is working outside of the USA, to experience new cultures, and to see how other nations view Him.
